The Theta Chapter of Phi Sigma Delta was started at CU in 1919 and the Beta Alpha Chapter of Zeta Beta Tau was chartered in 1947. In 1969, Phi Sigma Delta and Zeta Beta Tau merged nationally with all groups becoming Zeta Beta Tau chapters. As such, the Theta Chapter of Phi Sigma Delta merged with the Beta Alpha Chapter of Zeta Beta Tau to form the chapter seen on CU's campus today.
Since its early formation, the chapter has graduated more than 1,100 alumni from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
